Technical Downtime. Scalability nightmares. Operator Stress.

The High Cost of Control Room Failures

When your broadcast goes down, everything goes down: revenue, reputation, and viewer trust

The Challenge Venues Face

Broadcasting live events requires split-second decisions, flawless coordination, and zero room for technical failure. Venues investing in broadcast capabilities often struggle with fragmented solutions—piecing together equipment from multiple vendors, dealing with incompatible systems, and facing costly downtime when configurations don’t work as expected.

Why This Problem Gets Worse

Every failed broadcast damages reputation and revenue. Amateur setups lead to missed camera switches, audio sync issues, and graphics that don’t display when needed. Teams waste hours troubleshooting instead of focusing on production quality. The result: lost sponsorship opportunities, frustrated production crews, and audiences who notice every technical glitch. No one wants to be on the blooper reel.

The Solution: Turnkey Control Rooms Built Right

TakeOne Broadcast Solutions eliminates the guesswork with complete control room design, integration, and installation. From initial space planning to final operator training, every system component works together seamlessly—delivering broadcast-quality results from day one.

Precision That Powers Live Production

Why Professional Control Room Design Matters

Every role in a broadcast control room depends on seamless design—clear sightlines, instant switching, balanced audio, and reliable graphics. Professional layouts ensure operators work efficiently, systems perform flawlessly, and productions stay on track when every second counts

Engineered for Real-Time Performance

Broadcast control rooms require precise layouts that support how production teams actually work. The director needs clear sightlines to all monitor feeds. The technical director must switch between cameras instantly. Audio engineers require proper acoustic treatment and console positioning. Graphics operators need fast access to media servers.

Professional control room design places each role exactly where it needs to be for maximum efficiency during live productions.

The Core Components That Make It Work

  • Routing Infrastructure: Flexible signal management handling numerous inputs and destinations
  • Video Switching Systems: Seamless transitions between feeds with professional effects and routing capabilities
Graphics & Replay Systems: Real-time overlays, lower-thirds, and instant replay for sports productions
  • Monitor Walls & Multiviewers: Visual access to every camera feed, live output, and remote source simultaneously
  • Audio Mixing Consoles: Balanced sound from multiple inputs with broadcast-grade clarity
  • Communication Systems: IFB and intercom coordination between studio floor and control room operators
  • Redundancy & Backup: Fail-safe systems protecting against mid-broadcast equipment failure

Truist Park
Home of the Atlanta Braves

In 2017, the Atlanta Braves transitioned to their new home, originally Suntrust Park (now Truist Park). TakeOne, in collaboration with Fox Sports and Panasonic, installed advanced PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) remote cameras throughout the ballpark.

These permanent cameras serve both in-house productions and network television broadcasts, offering wide scenic views, dedicated announcer coverage, and unique bullpen perspectives. The project featured the integration of Panasonic’s latest weatherproof PTZ technology and a specialized box camera with a large FUJINON lens, mounted atop the Comcast Regional Headquarters and connected via fiber optic cable.

University of Kentucky
2110 IP Broadcast Control Room

In 2024, TakeOne Broadcast Solutions collaborated with the University of Kentucky to design and implement a cutting-edge ST 2110 IP-based broadcast control room.

This system replaced traditional baseband infrastructure, enabling greater flexibility, scalability, and integration with existing technologies like Evertz DreamCatcher™ Replay and Ross® Video systems.

The unified IP core supports multiple production facilities—including the College of Communication and Information and Rupp Arena—streamlining workflows and resource sharing across campus, and providing advanced training opportunities for future broadcast professionals.

National Streaming Media Client

TakeOne was selected to support a major streaming media company’s relocation from California to Nashville. The project involved designing and installing a new infrastructure that merged the company’s existing cinema-style production with a broadcast television setup.

Key technical highlights:
  • Adapted Sony FX-9 cameras (originally not suited for multi-camera broadcast) for studio use by integrating third-party accessories, custom cabling, Sachtler Studio Pedestals, CueScript™ Prompters, Tally Lights™, External Viewfinder Monitors, Video Return Feeds, and RTS Intercom.
  • Implemented a broadcast infrastructure using Ross® Video Ultrix-Acuity™ for routing and switching, Ultritouch control panels, Ross® Xpression for live graphics, and Ross® Tria+ for video ingest/playback.
  • All equipment was professionally installed onsite in Middle Atlantic racks by the TakeOne team.
  • This solution enabled the client to maintain high-quality production standards while transitioning to a new location and workflow.
